Our client which is a top tier regional firm is seeking an experienced and dynamic Night Shift Dealer to lead their retail equity trading operations in Hong Kong. This leadership role will focus on managing the night shift team, ensuring efficient trading activities, and delivering exceptional service to our retail clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong trading expertise and a deep understanding of equity markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Lead and manage the night shift trading team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Trading Management: Oversee all retail equity trading activities during the night shift, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trading opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with retail clients, addressing their needs and providing timely updates on market conditions and trading strategies.
- Risk Management: Implement and monitor risk management practices to mitigate potential trading risks and ensure adherence to risk limits.
- Performance Reporting: Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management, highlighting key trading metrics and team achievements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including research, compliance, and operations, to ensure seamless trading processes and exceptional client service.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance trading efficiency and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, or a related field
- Experience in equity trading, with a focus on retail markets
- Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of equity markets, trading strategies, and market dynamics, particularly in the US, Hong Kong and Asian contexts.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Technical Proficiency in trading platforms, financial modelling, and analysis tools
