Position Overview
The fund seeks a dynamic and seasoned Sector Head to lead investment initiatives within the Software and Internet sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sector-specific strategies to identify high-conviction investment opportunities across the Software and Internet sectors (long and short).
- Oversee the creation of deep fundamental analysis, including business models, competitive landscapes, and macroeconomic factors impacting the Software and Internet industries.
- Collaborate with the CIO and PMs to align sector strategy with broader portfolio objectives, including risk management and diversification.
- Maintain expertise in market trends, technological advancements, and regulatory developments impacting the sectors, serving as the firm's primary subject matter expert for Software and Internet investments.
Key Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in investment research or portfolio management, with at least 5 years focused on the Software and Internet sectors at a leading hedge fund, asset management firm, or related institution.
- Demonstrable success in identifying alpha-generating investments and leading a team in a performance-driven environment.
- Exceptional ability to distill complex industry dynamics into actionable investment theses, backed by rigorous financial modeling and valuation work.
- Proven experience managing and developing talent in a high-paced, analytical environment.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, or advanced degree preferred.
