Selby Jennings is working closely with a London-based venture-backed company at the forefront of digital assets trading technology. Their goal is to catalyse expansion within the entire digital asset ecosystem by serving as a powerhouse for liquidity, spanning both centralised and decentralised trading platforms.
The Role
They are in search of a Rust Developer possessing exceptional analytical capabilities, as demonstrated by a background in mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering, or similar fields. A profound enthusiasm for technology and software creation is crucial. While prior experience in crafting low-latency systems is advantageous, it's not a strict requirement. What's imperative is a strong interest in these domains. Candidates who exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit and the belief that any problem, no matter its complexity, can be addressed, are highly regarded.
What you will work on:
- Extending and improving our low-latency connectivity and trading infrastructure
- Fine tuning the performance of our core pricing engine for optimal throughput
- Contribute to optimising our network infrastructure for fast data transmission
- Design, develop and test new features and components relating to high frequency trading, trade monitoring and risk management
Technical skills we are looking for
- Very strong applied programming skills (at least 2 years experience) in Rust and Python
- Experience building systems for data processing or other latency sensitive applications
- Experience writing high-performance multi-threaded code
- Experience developing scalable distributed systems
- Strong familiarity with concurrency and OOP
- Understanding of database systems and basic SQL queries
- Comfortable working with Linux/Unix, AWS, Git, Docker
