Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement trading strategies for the APAC Index market, utilizing delta one trading techniques and optimizing index rebalancing processes.
- Execute trades in a timely manner, ensuring efficient and accurate trade execution, and monitoring the impact on the portfolio.
- Analyze market data, evaluate trading opportunities, and make informed decisions to maximize trading profits and minimize risks.
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers, developers, and risk management teams to enhance existing trading algorithms and develop innovative trading tools.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the APAC Index market, including market trends, liquidity dynamics, and regulatory developments.
- Monitor and manage trading portfolios, ensuring compliance with risk management guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain relationships with counterparties, brokers, and exchanges, ensuring efficient trade execution and access to liquidity.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to enhance trading strategies and processes.
- Prepare and present reports on trading performance, risk exposure, and strategy effectiveness to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Substantial experience (typically 5+ years) in program trading, with a focus on the APAC Index market and delta one trading.
- Strong knowledge of index rebalancing processes and experience in implementing index tracking strategies.
- Proficiency in using trading systems and platforms for executing trades, monitoring positions, and analyzing market data.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed trading decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Proven track record of successful trading performance and risk management in the APAC Index market.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements pertaining to trading activities in the APAC region
