We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior FCAS Actuary with 10-15 years of actuarial experience, specializing in reserving, Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS), and capital modeling. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of actuarial principles, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven track record in developing and implementing innovative reserving strategies and capital models. This role will play a crucial part in supporting our financial stability and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Reserving:
- Lead the development and maintenance of accurate and robust reserving models.
- Conduct detailed reserve reviews and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.
- Collaborate with underwriting and claims teams to refine reserving methodologies and assumptions.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reserve analyses to internal and external stakeholders.
Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS):
- Provide actuarial support for the structuring and pricing of ILS transactions.
- Analyze and model catastrophe risk to support ILS initiatives.
- Work closely with the capital markets team to develop innovative risk transfer solutions.
- Monitor the performance of ILS portfolios and recommend adjustments as needed.
Capital Modeling:
- Develop and enhance capital models to support risk management and strategic planning.
- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to assess capital adequacy.
- Collaborate with finance and risk management teams to integrate capital models into enterprise risk management frameworks.
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize capital allocation and improve financial performance.
Qualifications:
- Fellowship of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) designation.
- 10-15 years of actuarial experience, with a strong focus on reserving, ILS, and capital modeling.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing reserving models and methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of ILS structures and the catastrophe risk market.
- Proficiency in capital modeling and risk management frameworks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience presenting to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in actuarial software and programming languages (e.g., Excel, SQL, R, Python) is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
