Title: Head of Accounting
Company Summary: We are currently partnered with a leading family office in Naples, FL looking to add a Head of Accounting to their team. This opportunity will allow you to work with one of the oldest and most prominent families in South Florida that has a large portfolio across public and private markets.
Head of Accounting Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the entire accounting team and function.
- Prepare quarterly financial statements, oversee monthly close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc.
- Assist in developing an investment strategy that covers a wide variety of assets held by the family.
- Assist in aligning investment strategies with the family's long-term wealth accumulation goals.
- Identify and manage risks associated with the family's financial activities.
- Partner with the tax team to minimize tax liabilities and enhance tax refunds.
Head of Accounting Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience within accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Family office, alternative investments, investment management, private equity or similar industry experience preferred.
- CPA preferred but not required.
- Previous experience within tax preferred but not required.
