Equity Long/Short Energy Portfolio Manager

About the Client:
Our client is a global hedge fund with more than $6bn in assets.
Founded more than 20 years ago they have a prominence within the Fixed Income space and they are now looking to build out their Equity Long/Short coverage teams by hiring a Energy focused PM to be based out of their New York, NY office location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute investment strategies within the Energy sector.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of companies and market trends.
- Manage risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with analysts and other team members to generate investment ideas.
- Monitor and adjust portfolio positions to maximize returns.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record as an Equity L/S Portfolio Manager.
- Deep knowledge of the Energy sector, including renewables, energy, power, and Oil & Gas.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve a Sharpe ratio of 1% or higher.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, results-oriented environment.
- Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.
