Working with a prominent investment management firm looking to hire a Counterparty and Derivatives Associate to come join their Counterparty Risk Management Team, part of the Global Risk & Security Division, provides essential oversight, approvals, and monitoring of trading counterparties. The company is seeking to ensure that risk exposure is managed appropriately based on counterparty creditworthiness, collaborate with stakeholders to handle risk, and maintain compliance with SEC Derivatives and Liquidity Rules.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a robust risk management infrastructure to measure, monitor, and report risk exposures.
- Lead initiatives to align global counterparty, derivatives, and liquidity risk frameworks with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in stress testing methods and create technology-based tools for effective risk management.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders and monitor market events impacting risk.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for SEC's Liquidity and Derivatives Rules, ensuring compliance and partnering with technology teams to maintain system functionality.
Requirements
- Expertise in collateral management, counterparty risk, and trader decision-making.
- Experience in CCR or investment knowledge with a global perspective.
- Strong soft skills in FO interaction, influence, persuasion, presentation, and problem-solving.
- Broad knowledge of derivatives (equities, fixed income, FX forwards, swaps, TRS, FX hedging) and coding skills in SQL or Tableau are a plus.
- Understanding CSA/ISDA documents is beneficial.
