Company Summary: We are currently partnered with a leading company in the digital payment revolution for 20+ years, serving more than 400 million consumers and merchants in more than 200 markets globally. They are looking to bring on talent at the Director level to their Corporate Development Team in wonderful New York City. This candidate will have the opportunity to join a small, collaborative global group and work closely with client, c-suite level executives, and senior leadership.
Corporate Development Director will:
- Focus on origination and execution of M&A and strategic investment across the country
- Oversee all aspects of the deal, from idea generation to financial modeling, due diligence to negotiations
- Coordinate cross-functional diligence teams and act as the primary contact for target companies
- Mentor and develop deal team members who assist with sourcing, financial modeling and diligence
Corporate Development Director should have the following qualifications:
- 8+ years in Corporate Development (2+ years required), Private Equity or Investment Banking in the Financial Services or FinTech industry
- Strong experience in transaction document negotiation, as well as leading all aspects of a deal to integration
- Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling, valuation (public & private), and synergy analysis
- Adept with technology and a strategic thinker - knows what is best for the business, can develop strategic plans
- Excellent judgment, mature, and experience working with Board level executives
- Experience in developing teams (training, performance evaluations, culture building)
