Position Overview
A leading private equity firm is seeking a Business Development Associate who will play a key role in sourcing new investment opportunities, managing relationships with intermediaries, and supporting the firm's capital-raising efforts. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with strong analytical, communication, and relationship management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and source investment opportunities through direct outreach and relationship-building with investment bankers, business owners, brokers, and other deal intermediaries.
- Conduct industry research and market analysis to support deal origination efforts.
- Assist in the development and execution of the firm's business development strategy.
- Track and maintain a pipeline of potential investments using CRM tools.
- Support marketing and fundraising initiatives, including the preparation of pitch materials and investor presentations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including investment professionals, to assess potential transactions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field.
- 0-3 years of experience in business development, investment banking, private equity, or related financial services.
- Understanding of private equity deal sourcing, M&A, and financial markets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate relationships.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling is a plus.
