We are seeking a talented Associate Actuary or Actuary with Medicare Part C or D experience, a background in software, and experience in bidding processes to become a key member of our actuarial team. Key Responsibilities:
- Estimating Liabilities: Analyze current and future liabilities for various insurance products, particularly within Medicare Part C and D, to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial projections.
- Premium Proposals: Develop and propose premiums that align with the company's business objectives and financial goals, with a specific focus on Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plans.
- Experience Analysis: Review and analyze historical data to identify trends and recommend pricing strategies that optimize profitability.
- Bidding Expertise: Contribute to the development of competitive and compliant bidding strategies, ensuring the company's pricing is optimized for both sustainability and profitability.
- Software Utilization: Leverage actuarial software and tools to analyze data, refine pricing models, and automate complex processes for improved decision-making.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including underwriting, finance, and operations, to provide actuarial insights and support cross-functional initiatives.
- Innovative Solutions: Apply advanced actuarial techniques and methodologies to solve complex business challenges and improve overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
- Professional Certification: Progress toward or completion of actuarial exams (Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or equivalent).
- Experience: 2-4 years of actuarial experience, with specific experience in Medicare Part C or D (Medicare Advantage or Prescription Drug Plans), bidding processes, and background in software.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in actuarial software and data analysis tools. Strong knowledge of actuarial concepts, pricing models, and liability estimation techniques, particularly for Medicare products. Experience with software used in actuarial modeling, bidding, and pricing analysis is a plus.
